Level 3 is designed for those who are confident with snowplough stopping and can control their speed on the slope. At this stage, you should be able to stop consistently and manage your speed using a snowplough.
This is a group lesson where you will be learning alongside others at the same stage, with the instructor guiding the group through each part of the session.
The session focuses on developing snowplough turns to control direction and speed more effectively.
You will begin by reinforcing your ability to control speed using the snowplough, before introducing turning movements. These movements allow you to change direction and manage speed more smoothly, rather than relying on stopping.
As confidence improves, you will begin linking turns together, helping you move down the slope in a more controlled and consistent way.
Repetition is used throughout to build confidence, coordination, and control, helping movements become more natural and less forced.
Please arrive 30 minutes before your lesson time to allow for sign-in and equipment fitting.
Ski and boot fitting takes place before the lesson begins and is not included within the lesson time.
The 1-hour lesson refers to on-slope instruction only.
The session will take place on the slope, progressing as confidence and control improve.
All participants in this lesson will be beginners and will progress through the session together at a steady pace.
Participants should wear suitable clothing, including long sleeves, long trousers, and gloves.
Standard ski gloves are not recommended, as they can become very hot and uncomfortable in typical UK conditions.
Helmets and boots are provided, but you are welcome to use your own if preferred.
The slope is mist-lubricated, so participants may get wet. A change of clothes is recommended.
After completing Level 3, you will be ready to progress to Level 4, where you will begin refining your turns and moving towards more independent skiing.
