Puffin Ski Lessons (Ages 3–6)

Puffin lessons are designed as a gentle introduction to skiing for younger children aged 3–6.

These sessions focus on helping children become comfortable with the equipment and the slope in a fun, relaxed environment.

What to Expect

Lessons are delivered as 1:1 sessions, allowing the instructor to work closely with each child at their own pace.

The focus is on building confidence, balance, and basic movement on skis through simple, engaging activities.

At this age, learning is kept fun and pressure-free, helping children develop naturally without feeling overwhelmed.

Structure of the Session

Each lesson lasts 30 minutes.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your lesson time to allow for sign-in and equipment fitting.

Ski and boot fitting takes place before the lesson begins and is not included within the lesson time.

Important Information

  • Lessons are for children aged 3–6 only
  • All sessions are delivered on a 1:1 basis

A parent or guardian may be required to assist during the lesson, depending on the child’s confidence and ability.

Participants should wear suitable clothing, including long sleeves, long trousers, and gloves.

Standard ski gloves are not recommended, as they can become very hot and uncomfortable in typical UK conditions.

Helmets and boots are provided, but children are welcome to use their own if preferred.

The slope is mist-lubricated, so participants may get wet. A change of clothes is recommended.

Why Choose Puffin Lessons?

Puffin lessons are designed specifically for younger children, providing a supportive introduction that builds confidence and familiarity with skiing in a way that suits their age and attention span.

These sessions are the best way for younger children to begin their skiing journey.

Piste X Code

Please introduce your children to the Piste X Code — a fantastic interactive resource that teaches the rules of the slope and helps keep everyone safe on the mountain.

This includes understanding how to ski responsibly around others, such as giving way, stopping in safe places, and being aware of those around you.
